Dubai is always striving to be at the forefront of innovation and a home to several record-breaking landmarks. It’s the region, in the Middle East, that’s attracted the most tourists in 2023 and for very obvious reasons. One such tourist attraction is Dubai’s Green Planet.
The Green Planet is Dubai’s very own indoor rainforest. Fascinating isn't it? With more than 3,000 species of plants, animals, and birds, it’s a stunning wildlife sanctuary.
This attraction has been the perfect spot for family outings and school visits and even caters to several fun activities such as picnics, camping, swimming with piranhas, or playing zookeeper for a day. It’s an appealing location for people of all ages.
The Green Planet Dubai’s immersive experiences
The biodome at The Green Planet is made up of four levels: The Canopy, The Midstory, The Forest Floor, and The Flooded Rainforest. Each level offers a different insight into the significance of every part of Dubai’s indoor rainforest. Every level promises an immersive experience for the senses with stunning waterfalls and creatures of different kinds. Some of the most popular activities include:
1. Camping in the rainforest:
This is your chance to experience an epic and memorable adventure like no other. It’s an evening delight packed with a nocturnal animal tour, complete with a scavenger hunt, a delicious dinner, and scrumptious marshmallows.

Guests are also provided with comfortable tents containing mattresses, pillows, sheets, and blankets. A complimentary breakfast from the Green Planet Cafe is also available to interested guests.
2. Zookeeping for a day:
Animal lovers who fancy the idea of being zookeepers will love this experience. Visitors get to experience interacting and caring for several animals. This category is often recommended for individuals aged 8 and above, accompanied by experts.
A tour of the animal laboratories and other areas housing some rare and endangered species of our planet is also given. Children under 8 can also enjoy this experience but they must be accompanied by a paid adult.
3. Summer camp in the rainforest:
This experience is for parents looking to keep their young ones entertained throughout the summer break. It provides a unique summer camp experience where children can learn about natural ecosystems and conservation in the most immersive way.
Junior campers can also explore subjects like habitats, endangered animals, and conservation through interactive games and arts and crafts
