Not a Space is a new and beautiful desert pop-up hangout in Al Faya Desert Sharjah where locals and tourists can watch the captivating sunset or sunrise, stargaze, or just enjoy a coffee while taking in the mountain view.
This campsite-like space is only about an hour from Dubai. It has a unique concept featuring a food-truck-style cafe and a circular stage, with bean bags, plastic chairs, and picnic tables arranged around the desert space. The goals of this community space are to foster the spirit of friendships and build connections, and also to create an atmosphere to spread positive vibes.
When the sun journeys back into the horizon and darkness takes its place, solar-powered globe lamps light up the space, allowing visitors to enjoy the starry night sky. There’s more to enjoy through the night with different dance and musical performances from local artists.
Not a Space Cafe also provides a variety of Instagram-worthy desserts, drinks, and light bites, which can be pre-ordered by guests before their arrival.
Bookings are not required for a visit to Not a Space Al Faya. Besides watching beautiful sunsets and sunrises, there are other planned desert activities for visitors to enjoy. The spectacular mountain views also provide a backdrop for some great Instagram-worthy shots.
Not a Space Sharjah - Muweilah Facility
Not a Space Al Faya isn’t open all year long, but its Instagram page provides information about activities when it’s operational. If you miss out on the Al Faya desert pop-up space activities, don’t worry, Not a Space has an all-year-round facility located in Muweilah, Sharjah. This facility has a community area, cafe, barbershop, and salon.

1. Cafe
The Cafe serves a variety of snacks, including cookies, flatbreads, kiri Danish, and croissants, among others. Other options for visitors with a sweet tooth include caramel popcorn, chocolate cereals, and custard cups. Beverages like Hibiscus Ice Tea, coffee, and shakes are also available.
The cafe opens from 6 am to 12 am daily.
2. Barbershop and salon
Not a Space salon and barbershop is the ideal beauty parlor for both men and women. The services offered are facials, foot massages, and haircuts, as well as manicures and pedicures.
Facials can cost anywhere between AED 150-200, while a relaxing foot massage can go for about AED 80. Beard trims and haircuts for men can cost between AED 60-100.

Not a Space Locations
Not a Space Al Faya is located near Mysk Al Faya Retreat, Sharjah. The road leading to the desert camp is accessible all the way, so there's usually no need for an off-road vehicle. But a drive to this location is surely something you would enjoy. Simply rent a car in the UAE, input the Google Map location, and enjoy the drive all the way. You can easily park your car as there are plenty of parking spaces available.
The Al Faya pop-up location usually opens up in January or early February, and information on yearly routines is always available on the “Not a Space” Instagram social media handle.
